M - is for Milo and Otis
Liam I am going to start this by saying, I DO NOT BELIEVE in using animals in film. Daddy is a Animal Rights Activist and will admit he has done things to stop harm from coming to exploited animals. This movie was my favourite when I was around 9, and it is what started my thoughts on animal rights. I cried thinking some of the animals were really in bad situations, and as I got older I realized these animals were really in bad situations in real life. Milo gets bitten on the nose by a crab. Later, he goes over a waterfall, is attacked by angry birds, falls off a cliff into the ocean, and has close encounters with two bears and a snake. You can tell you’re not looking at the same cat and dog throughout, and a disclaimer at the end mentions only that the animal actors were treated with concern; it doesn’t say that no animals were hurt or killed during the production. A deeply troubling film that shows animals, at the very least, in obvious physical distress, and, in all probability, in the midsts of horrific death. In other words son i want you to see this film to know that animals are not here to entertain us and for us to exploit.

I remember when I was a kid, my dad rented this for me to watch. I started crying so hard my dad took it off and refused to ever rent it for me again.
Worst part is, I own this now and I still cry hahaha
